Hey Explorers Connect Community

I’m Rajat, an independent mountaineer from India, and I’m organizing an exclusive, non-commercial expedition to summit Black Peak (Kala Nag), a perfect technical 6000m peak and a fantastic alternative to the overcrowded 6000m climbs in Nepal. The expedition is set for September–October 2025.

A bit about me—I’ve been leading and organizing treks and expeditions in the Indian and Nepalese Himalayas for the past 5 years, working both independently and with some of the top names in Indian mountaineering. While I’ve organized successful ascents of Black Peak twice before, this year, I’ll be attempting the summit myself, and I want to do it with an amazing team.

This is not a commercial climb. Instead, it’s a carefully planned, fully customized experience designed for climbers who value quality, camaraderie, and meaningful connections in the mountains. We’ll have professional local guides, fully transparent logistics, and a strong focus on safety, with all costs and details laid out clearly from the start.

I’m looking for a small team of experienced climbers who are interested in attempting this magnificent peak. If this sounds like you, I’d love to connect or put this up on your forum/website, share the detailed expedition plan (itinerary, logistics, permits, costs, etc.), and discuss how we can make this happen.

Cheers,
