In July 2025, we will be kayaking across the Okavango Delta, Botswana with the mission of raising awareness of the devastating impact climate change is having on the region - and drive efforts to protect it. Titled 'Echoes of the Okavango' - we're looking for our final members to make up the Expedition Team.

We'll be paddling for 14 days, 13th to the 26th July 2025 (with a few days either side for further exploration, preparations and contingency). Along the way, we'll be producing a short documentary and photo series as well as meeting the local people to hear their first hand accounts of climate change. We're also looking to undertake a Citizen Science Project during the expedition.

We'll be paddling through some of Africa's most pristine untouched wilderness, sharing the landscape with Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Giraffes, Rhinos and of course plenty of Crocs and Hippos...

You'll be part of a team of 9: 6 Team members working alongside 3 local guides who will be supporting us on our expedition. You'll need to be strong willed and a great team player. Kayaking experience is required, although you are not expected to be at a professional level. You will have to be willing to work together with the team to achieve our shared goals, even when the going gets tough.

In the lead up to the expedition, we'll be running a regular Zoom training series, for everyone to get to know each other, learn new skills and knowledge and discuss the adventure ahead. We'll also be hosting a training weekend in April (Exact dates and location TBC but likely to be Snowdonia, North Wales).

At the moment, this is a self funded expedition. Each team member is contributing £3,700 towards the expedition costs, with myself paying the rest. We are currently looking to secure funding through private donations, sponsorships etc. The cost of which will be split between the team to reduce everyone's costs.
