Hi
Do you like long-distance hiking? Are interested in remote local cultures? Do you like mountain hiking?
Then you should join me on my Himalaya adventure.
This year I am going to continue my thru-hike of the Great Himalaya Trail. I started my journey in 2019 in the far east of Nepal. In this central section, the trek will pass through the regions of Ganesh, Manaslu, Nar Phu, Tilicho Lake and Annapurna. There will be a few days camping, but most days we will stay at local teahouses or homestays. The adventure will take a total of 47 days ( this is including rest days, contingency days, and travel days). The starting date is the first week of October. We will be accompanied by a guide and porters, but still, you are required to carry some stuff yourself.
I don’t have a sponsorship for the trek, but I am trying to get some sponsorship for gear.
My name is Sonja. I have been a trekking & tour guide for a hiking/travel agency in the Netherlands since 2006. I have been guiding most time in The Alps and Southern Spain. To Nepal, I have been privately eleven times, and in 2019 I started hiking the (Upper) Great Himalaya Trail. Together with a hiking mate and local crew we crossed remote passes and passed by authentic local villages.
The skills which are required for this adventure:
Both physically and mentally good shape
No fear of heights; sometimes the trail is narrow on a steep slope
Multi-day hiking experience
Hiking experience at high altitude (4000+ meters) is preferable, but not necessary
Team player
Up for the adventure
Note: It is also possible to join only the Manaslu section (19 days)
