Join a TeamBelinda KirkComment

From September 2016 till Summer 2017 : I'm planning to do some ICE CROSSINGS.Ideas are welcome:

Baikal Lake crossing?

Frozen rivers in Zanskar and Ladakh

polar ice cap crossings, with some training in the Alps and Spitzberg beforehand?

- Reaching north pole as a climax?

I'm French. 34 years old. Entrepreneur and writer.I have trekked quite a bit, climbed several peaks from Kilimanjaro to Aconcagua, crossed part of greenland, spent several months crossing central asia as well as south america...

From October 2015 to Summer 2016, I will be attempting a bit of DESERT Crossings in various countries. Fingers crossed it will go ok!! (see my other post on Explorers Connect).

I have plenty of time and I'm flexible with dates and also quite opened to your other ideas or programs.

REQUIREMENTS

I'm looking for serious people who are eager to attempt icy crossing, the most natural way as said above.I wanna keep it a small group. and I would prefer not to join any professional/business all organised expedition with 3 porters per person, nothing to carry yourself, european food and 5 star hotels...I like camping, walking, suffering, contemplating, and I'm not a big fan of european tourists crowds.

Ultimatly, I wanna experience something as as minimalist and natural as possible, on foot, with limited use of any 4x4, helicopters or stuff like that.I'm not looking for a running contest, challenge with 200 people, nor for being the "first to have done this or that" or writing a book nor running a blog (without any disrespect to anyone who does! I'm really not judging anyone, I'm just trying to put here what I will be doing and why I'm doing it, in case some people care to know with who they might be travelling ;-)=> I just wanna be experiencing the true wilderness, as far from the modern life as reasonnable, isolated in the nature, with the body struggling in adverse conditions, encountering true people on the way.Without timescale and usual landmarks

I just wanna find team mates with the same objectives as mentionned above, ideally physically solid and passionate, intelligent, deep.

On a personnal note:I wanna experience the roughness and the tiredness and exhaustion. I also will take notes as all this also relates to my book. All these travels form part of a personal project linked to my writing of a very long serie of books and to a project of restarting some kind of business/activity/NGO, after the trip linked to environment preservation and economic/politic changes.I'm quite passionate but also realistic - A dreamer (writer part) and feet-on-the-ground (entrepreneur).I have some experience of ice/mountain trekking (but that was with organised group). So I would like to program some kind of step by step crossings, towards a goal. So: any advice, idea, sugesstion, experience sharing are welcome. And : If anybody is interested to join! I'm there!
