My goal is to get from London toKathmandu by motorbike. I have been riding for over 2 years now but have no experience of off-roading or adventure riding - so I would consider myself a novice! I am looking for a partner who is willing to embark onan adventure that will take us through Europe, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Northern India, and finally,in to Nepal. Preferably you will already hold a full motorcycle licence and also have a couple of years under your belt, although no other experience is necessarily required (anyone with mechancial knowledge would be much appreciated...mine is fairly limited).
A bit about me...I am a 28 year old young professional and have held office based jobs for the past 5 years. I've always been a traveller but haven't had the time (poor excuse..I know) in recent years to pursue my passion. I'm easy to get along with and am highly motivated when it comes to making the most of an adventure. This expedition is very much in the earliest of phases - it's inception. There is plenty of planning to be done from here. My expectation is to set off in January 2015 with a view to arriving in Nepal within 4-6 weeks. On arrival in Nepal I will be spending 2 further weeks volunteering at an orphanage which I have actively held links with for over 10 years, this is not a requirement of the partner but it is my reason for going there and a fellow volunteer would be most welcome. If this sounds like something you would be interested in doing please let me know. You can expect some tough biking conditions with both hot and cold temperatures, plenty of hills, and several border crossings.
