Time is running out to apply for a crew position and write yourself into the record books by being a part of a Guinness World record breaking row of 3,500 miles from mainland Africa to mainland South America. Former ocean or river rowing experience isn't a compulsory requirement. We're looking for applicants who have a great mental and physical determination, get along well in a group environment and thrive on a challenge. The deadline for applications will be the end of February and we will be arranging one-to-one interviews from that point forward. We have several positions available for female crew to be a part of a mixed-team of 8 rowers who depart from Morocco in December 2014 (specific date to be confirmed based on weather conditions). The crossing is expected to take between 6-8 weeks and that time will be spent alternating between two hours of rowing and two hours of rest, every day until we reach South America. The squad is so far made up of myself and three other rowers and each have ocean rowing, or river rowing experience and sea navigation and safety, training. We are looking for several individuals who are able to demonstrate they perform well within a team and are able to maintain a positive attitude in physcially and mentally challenging conditions.
