As part of our training for theSouth America 3 Peaks Expeditionwe are running a training expedition to the Caucasus Range in Russia in August to climb Elbrus (5,642m), Europe's highest mountain. We are running this as a private expedition with local logistics provided by a local agent. We currently have a team of 4, but are looking for additional team members.Dates: 16th - 23rd AugustDuration: 8 days (MinVody to MinVody)Numbers: up to 9Cost: $1,600 per person (3:1 climber:guide ratio)Distance: 25kmsChallenge: DifficultMountain accommodation: HutsElbrus is a great mountain for aspiring climbers who want to test their skills at a higher altitude. Nevertheless, high-altitude and unpredictable weather can make this a challenging ascent. Team members should have basic mountaineering skills, but our local guides provide on-site training in basic alpine skills such as moving on crampons before the summit day.
