P.S The Venture is finished, it has been a challenging one including the logistics and organisation. Read more here of what went wrong :) may be you can learn something for your next mission.
On the 11th of April I am leaving London to embark on my mission - the Three Border Triathlon - a triathlon that crosses 3 countries, including a 550Km swimin Germany along the second largest river in Central Europe. I signed up for a half-ironman in September and thought - how can I train and be adventurous at the same time - the answer: doing a triathlon to cross countries I have not been. I will start at Lake Geneva and cross Switzerland by bike (rough distance of ~400km) either along the 'Alpine Panorama Route' or the 'Midland Route'. Arriving at Lake Constance i am going to make my way to Donauschlingen and there the swim transition starts - 550km swimming downstream the Danube - the second largest river in Central Europe.
Once the river touches the Austrian border the run transition begins, crossing Austria (~315Km). Aim of the project is to raise funds and engage locals to join me, share their stories of the village and document the trip with entertaining and valuable video entries.
