The Expedition Cooperative is a non-profit society of photographers and adventurers who share a passion for discovering the beauty and diversity of our planet. We organize sailing expeditions to remote and spectacular destinations, where we capture stunning images and document our experiences.
Our next expedition will take us from Reykjavík, the vibrant capital of Iceland, to Nuuk, the cultural and historical hub of Greenland. Along the way, we will sail across the Denmark Strait, explore the wild and rugged east coast of Greenland, visit colorful and traditional communities, witness majestic glaciers and icebergs, and encounter amazing wildlife.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a sailing adventure that will challenge you, inspire you, and enrich you. You will learn new skills, make new friends, and create lasting memories.
We are looking for crew members who are enthusiastic, flexible, and willing to contribute to the success of the expedition. You don't need to have any previous sailing experience, but you do need to have a sense of adventure and a positive attitude. You also need to have a good fitness level and a good sense of humor, as sailing can be physically and mentally demanding, but also fun and rewarding.
The expedition will last for 21 days, from June 8 to June 29, 2024. This is a non-commercial expedition, and the budget estimate for the entire trip is €35,000 to be split evenly between the crew of ten. The budget covers yacht, food, fuel, and captain. You will also need to arrange your own flights to and from Reykjavík and Nuuk, and have adequate travel insurance. We can help with that!
