I am putting together an expedition to hike a 500 km section of the Pamir trail in Tajikistan August 15-Sept. 30th, 2023. I’ve been working with the author who has published a travel guide on hiking trails in Tajikistan, Jan Bakker, along with his trusted guide, to work out the route and logistics. The trek would be a maximum of 4 people, including the guide.

We are taking on one of the most challenging portions of this trek. No guarantee of success. We could be turned around with non-crossable torrential rivers.
