Hi there!
I am looking for an expedition medic who is available at short notice to join a climate research expedition to Northeast Greenland (80'N). The expedition leaves 1st July, and should be finished July 21st (weather permitting). In total we are a team of 10 people who are working in caves and on geology to understand how Greenland's climate and environment has changed in the past. Day to day activities include hiking through dry valleys and up scree slopes to short caves. No caving or climbing experience is necessary. We will not be on ice caps or glaciers.
All the medical kit has already been sent ahead as freight, and the pre-expedition medical screening been carried out (unfortunately our present doctor has had to pull out due to unforseen circumstances). Besides being experienced in expedition/wilderness medicine, the replacement medic should also have experience with obstetrics and have the indemnity to cover this. All expenses will be paid as well as a small salary.
