In March of this year a team of veterans suffering from PTSD will attempt to drive the original Dakar Rally route of the 1990's in £500 budget cars! Their vehicles of choice are 2 wheel drive Citroen Berlingo / Peugeot Partners - basically Postman Pat vans!
The ultimate aim of Driven to Extremes is to not only help veterans with their recovery, but provide a source of employment for them in an adventurous team-based environment, be that full, part time or freelance.
We are seeking a volunteer medic to join the team on this challenging adventure. Driven to Extremes will be providing fully equipped expedition 4x4 vehicles, Leader, Guide, Mechanic and expedition equipment (tents, sleeping mats etc). You must be 25 years of age or older for insurance purposes, have a clean driving licence and hold a valid passport.
Driven to Extremes will cover the cost of the vehicle, so you only have to find your food, accommodation and travel insurance, but we are working on a team booking for this. Budget for no more per day than £30 accommodation and £20 for food.
