John is mounting an expedition to the Middle East in March/April 2018 and is looking for two cheap, battered 4x4 vehicles suitable for desert travel in Amman!
The adventure will see the team drive from Jordan to Saudi Arabia over three weeks seeking to connect and properly map/document the Umayyad era fortifications scattered across the desert area from Amman in the North to Eastern and Southern Jordan before crossing into Saudi from Aqaba to explore the Tabic Reserve area for suspected undiscovered ruins.
Hilariously ambitious though this is, the issue now is finding the vehicles capable of taking equipment and personnel across rough desert terrain - for a low price (therein lies the rub). If you can help, please email John at jahutton1@hotmail.co.uk
