Explore, Share and Give Back - Patagonia by Foot - Puerto Montt to Coyhaique Expedition Goals: - Setting out in late June from Puerto Montt in the lake region of Chile and travel 700km on foot in winter conditions south to Coyhaique in the region of Aysn in the Chilean Patagonia summiting mountains and volcanos along the way. - Explore the Chilean Parks and Natural Reserves of: Alerce Andino, Hornopirn, Parque Pumaln, Corcovocado, Lago Rosselot, Queulat, Lago las Torres and Coyhaique - Share our adventure through photography, video and articles on our website as well as preparing talks for clubs and schools in the US, UK and Czech Republic - Raise awareness of the philanthropic possibilities of digital currencies by raising money (through Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin) for The Conservation Land Trust to support conservation efforts and National Park creation in Chile - Give back to the environment and communities we pass through by incorporating a two-week volunteering program with Reservas Naturales into the expedition.

Working towards the John Muir Award - An expedition to educate and conserve The John Muir Award is an environmental award scheme focused on wild places. It encourages awareness and responsibility for the natural environment, in a spirit of fun, adventure and exploration. We are applying for the highest - Conserver level of the award which requires a commitment of minimum 20 days. We feel like the John Muir award is a great way to give some formality to our efforts and provide us with motivation to stick to the four pillars of discovering, exploring, conserving and sharing during the entire expedition. We also believe the award will be a great asset to put more emphasis onto the educational aspect of our expedition when we give talks and publish articles, videos and photography once the expedition is over.
