As a two men team we will do an East-West traverse of the Zerafshan Range in the north of Tajikistan.
After this we will attempt a North-South crossing of the Pamir Mountain Range in Tajikistan by foot. The Pamirs are probably the least visited of all great mountain ranges in the world. Soviet Union red tape and civil war prevented people from going in the past. These days the Pamirs are literally a big unknown.
The Trans Pamir 2012 Expedition is part of an exploratory series of treks throughout Tajikistan. The aim is to document, photograph and map new routes that will result in the creation of a trekking guidebook on this region.
