Mark is attempting to be the first person in history to solo ski both the North and South Geographic Poles consecutively. On the 8 November 2011 polar explorer Mark left the UK for the South Pole, On 10 January 2012, after 50 days alone on ice,he arrived at the South Pole, completing the first leg of his North South Solo Expedition.
