There and Back Again

CommunityBelinda KirkComment

At the end of July 2011, veteran adventurer Ed Bassett will be paddling a kayak across the English Channel.....AND BACK. This gruelling marathon will see him crossing the busiest shipping channel in the world, fighting notorious currents and dodging the numerous ferries that carry people and cargo to and from France.

He is raising funds for two charities:- FAIRBRIDGE Fairbridge provide personal development training to young people aged from 13 to 25 who are termed as Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). Their innovative programs help young people to take charge of their own development. EQUAL ADVENTURE Equal Adventure design and make equipment for disabled people to use in outdoor activities and expeditions.

Their award winning designs enable people with disabilities to fully engage in adventures as equals.
