Jeff Allen and Harry Whelan have completed the 1000 mile circumnavigation of Ireland in just 25 days, taking 8 days off the previous record.
Arriving in Ardmore at the end of their journey, the two men had kayaked the final 225 miles almost non-stop in three days to try and make up time lost during bad weather. Allen said that the pair had "no sleep at all" for the last three days and were ""exhausted"". The expedition was completed in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action.
