OVERVIEW

amanda challens explorers connect adventure talk.png

Record-breaking Pacific Ocean Rower, Amanda Challans, talks about what it’s like to step away from the herd and going solo on her most recent expedition rowing across the Baltic from Sweden to Finland.

Ten years before this trip she was diagnosed with severe M.E. and told there was no cure. Bedbound for 2 years, and in a wheelchair on a good day, she was forced to come to terms with the fact that she might not regain the full use of her limbs again. Hopes of living a ‘normal’ life were quickly diminishing and her days of adventure seemed long gone.

Now fully recovered, (and then some!) she’s has a newfound passion for life, personal growth, and adventure! Along with the story of Going Solo on the Baltic, Amanda shares stories from her journey of recovery back to health, and into peak performance.
